Leadership Coaching by Industry

Leadership coaching by industry starts from the realities of your sector: its regulation, structures, career paths and pressures. My own corporate career was in financial services, FMCG, entrepreneurship and government, and I also coach leaders from other sectors across Bahrain and the GCC. The coaching method stays the same; the context, language and examples change with your world.

Leadership challenges look similar on paper. In practice, a bank’s risk committee, a hotel’s executive committee and a ministry’s approval chain shape behaviour in very different ways. Coaching works best when it takes those differences seriously.

I coach in Arabic and English, in person in Manama and online, one to one through executive coaching or with whole leadership teams through team coaching.

Four sectors I know from the inside

Across more than 26 years in leadership, HR and talent development, I worked in financial services, FMCG, entrepreneurship and government. In those sectors I sat in talent reviews, built leadership programmes and supported executive teams through growth and transformation. When you lead in one of them, I already understand the vocabulary and the pressures.

Entrepreneurship does not have a page of its own here; its themes appear in the pages on technology and startup leaders and on family businesses, and in executive coaching for founders.

Other industries: what I bring and what I do not

For sectors outside my own career, such as healthcare, energy, telecoms, hospitality, education and professional services, I do not claim insider experience. Each page instead sets out the leadership realities of that sector and how coaching addresses them. You bring the industry knowledge; I bring more than 4,500 coaching hours and a systemic view of how organisations shape the people who lead them.

That outside view is often an advantage. Leaders can explain a situation to someone who does not share their sector’s assumptions, and hear themselves more clearly as a result.

Choosing between an industry page and a role page

Industry pages describe the sector around you. If your question is more about your position, such as a new CEO, a first-time manager or a family business successor, start with coaching by leadership role instead. Organisations planning coaching across several leaders can go straight to corporate coaching programmes.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a coach from my own industry?

Not necessarily. A coach’s job is to ask the questions that help you see clearly, not to supply industry answers. Sector understanding helps, which is why each page explains how I approach that context, but credentials, method and fit matter more.

My industry is not listed. Can you still coach me?

Yes. These pages cover sectors with distinctive leadership pressures; they are not the limit of who I work with. Book a free discovery call and tell me about your organisation.
