Women's Leadership Coaching

Women's leadership coaching is one-to-one coaching for women who are ready to lead more fully: to be heard in senior rooms, to step up a level, to return from leave or to build a business on their own terms. I coach in person in Manama and online, in Arabic and English, and I co-authored Seen Yet Silent: Coaching Arab Women to Lead with Amal Kooheji.

Many of the women I coach are already doing the job well. What they want is to stop editing parts of themselves to fit it. Growth begins within, and that is where this coaching starts.

Amal Kooheji and I wrote the book about the challenges Arab women face in leadership and how coaching helps them lead. It was launched at HQ by Hope in Seef, Bahrain, in December 2025. You can read about it on the Seen Yet Silent book page or find it on Amazon.

Start from the moment you are in, not from a label

The pages in this section are organised by situation, because the same woman can need very different coaching at different points in her career. Choose the one that describes what is happening now.

If you are weighing up a bigger move, the step into an executive role or a pay and scope conversation is usually the clearest starting point. If the issue is how you are received, start with presence. If you are coming back after a baby, or building your own company, those pages speak to those transitions directly. And if you want the wider picture first, the guide to the challenges women leaders face in the Middle East is a good place to begin.

Culture belongs in the coaching conversation

Women in the Gulf are moving into leadership roles quickly, often as the first woman in a team, a department or a family to hold that kind of position. That brings real opportunity and real pressure: family expectations, norms about modesty and visibility, and rooms where you may be the only woman at the table.

Women's leadership coaching with me does not ask you to adopt someone else's model of a leader. We work with your values, your languages and your context, and you decide what changes.

For yourself, or for women across your organisation

Most women book one-to-one coaching directly, starting with a free 30-minute discovery call. If you lead HR or talent and want to support a group of women leaders, the women's leadership programme for organisations explains how a tailored programme can combine group sessions with individual coaching.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be in a senior role already?

No. I coach women at several stages, from first-time managers to executives and founders. What matters is that you want to lead more fully and are willing to look at your own patterns.

Do you only coach Arab women?

No. My book focuses on Arab women, and much of my work is in the Gulf, but I coach women from many backgrounds, in Arabic or English, in person in Manama or online.

How is this different from your general executive coaching?

The method is the same: I ask questions rather than give answers, and everything is confidential. The difference is that we bring the realities women leaders face into the conversation openly, instead of treating them as side issues. You can compare it with one-to-one executive coaching.
