Online Executive Coaching

Online executive coaching gives you the same one-to-one coaching as an in-person session, by video call from wherever you work. I coach leaders across Bahrain and the wider GCC online, in Arabic or English. It suits executives who travel, work outside Manama or cannot spare an hour in traffic, and it keeps the depth, rhythm and confidentiality of face-to-face work.

Leaders are often surprised by how quickly the screen stops mattering once the conversation starts. What makes coaching work is attention, trust and good questions, and all three travel well.

Who chooses to be coached online

Online executive coaching is not a lesser version of the real thing. For many leaders it is the format that makes regular coaching possible at all.

  • Leaders elsewhere in the GCC who want a coach who understands the Gulf context.
  • Executives whose travel schedule makes a fixed meeting place unrealistic.
  • Leaders in Bahrain who would rather not spend an hour on the road for a one-hour session.
  • People who think more freely in their own space than in an unfamiliar room.
  • Senior leaders who prefer that nobody sees them walking into a coach’s office.

How a video session works, from booking to follow-through

  1. 01

    Agree the rhythm

On the free discovery call we agree how often to meet, usually weekly or every two weeks, and the times that suit your calendar.

  2. 02

    Join from a private space

You join from somewhere you will not be overheard or interrupted: a closed office, a quiet room at home, even a parked car.

  3. 03

Work as we would in person

The session follows the same shape as face-to-face coaching: your agenda, my questions, reflection and a clear next step.

  4. 04

    Practise between calls

You try new approaches in your real working week and bring what you noticed to the next session.

Time zones across the Gulf are rarely an obstacle

Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar share a time zone, and the UAE and Oman are one hour ahead, so scheduling across the region is straightforward. Early-morning and end-of-day sessions are common for leaders who want to protect the core of their working day.

If you also lead teams in other regions, we plan around the parts of your week already broken up by calls elsewhere, and move sessions during heavy travel or Ramadan working hours rather than letting the rhythm lapse.

Confidentiality online depends on both of us

Everything you share is strictly confidential, online or in person. On my side, I take sessions from a private space where nobody else can hear. On yours, it helps to choose a place where you can speak freely and to use headphones if others are nearby.

If your organisation is sponsoring the coaching, we agree at the start which high-level goals are shared with them, and nothing beyond that leaves the session without your agreement. For more detail, read whether executive coaching is confidential.

Choosing between online and in person

The choice depends on your schedule, your preference and the kind of work we are doing. Some clients meet me in Manama for the first session and continue online; others mix the two throughout. My article comparing online and in-person coaching sets out the trade-offs in more depth.

The first online session feels more familiar than you expect

In the first session we spend time on your goals, the challenges in front of you and what you want to be different by the end of our work together. I ask a lot of questions, and I won’t tell you what to decide.

A few minutes in, most leaders forget the format. The work feels the same as in person because it is the same coaching journey, from Discover through Understand, Develop, Apply, Reflect and Sustain, described on my method page. If you would like to work in Arabic, see executive coaching in Arabic and English.

Gulf workplace experience you can reach from anywhere in the region

I bring more than 26 years in leadership, HR and talent development across financial services, FMCG, entrepreneurship and government, and more than 4,500 coaching hours as an ICF Professional Certified Coach. I know Gulf workplaces from the inside: multinational teams, family-owned businesses, national talent programmes and the respect for seniority that shapes how people speak up.

Online coaching also opens the full range of my work to you wherever you are: one-to-one executive coaching, mindset and mental fitness coaching as a Positive Intelligence® coach, and NLP tools as a Master Practitioner, all available in Arabic or English.

Frequently asked questions

Is online coaching as effective as meeting face to face?

For most leaders, yes. The core of coaching is focused attention and honest questions, and both work well by video. If you strongly prefer being in the same room, we can discuss meeting in Manama.

What do I need for an online session?

A reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and a private space where you will not be interrupted. Headphones help if you are somewhere others might overhear.

Can we mix online and in-person sessions?

Yes. Many clients combine the two depending on travel and workload. The goals and the rhythm stay the same whichever format a session takes.

What if a session clashes with travel or a crisis at work?

Tell me as early as you can and we will find another time. Coaching works best with a steady rhythm, so we look for the nearest workable slot rather than letting weeks pass.

Can a leadership team be coached online too?

Yes. Team programmes can be delivered virtually or in person, and each one is tailored to the team. See team coaching for how those programmes are built.

Do I need to live in Bahrain to work with you?

No. I coach clients across Bahrain and the GCC online. Being in Bahrain simply adds the option of meeting in person in Manama.

Good coaching does not need a shared room. It needs a real conversation.
