Executive Coaching in Kuwait

Executive coaching in Kuwait with me takes place online, in Arabic or English, for leaders in Kuwait City and across the country. I work one to one and with leadership teams on the shifts that matter now: moving between the public and private sectors, leading change in long-established institutions, and growing into a larger role. Kuwait shares Bahrain's time zone and working week, so scheduling is simple.

Kuwait combines deep institutional history with a stated ambition to change how the economy works. Leaders sit between the two, carrying the weight of tradition while being asked to modernise.

Executive coaching in Kuwait is a place to think that through privately, with someone who knows Gulf organisations but sits outside yours.

Kuwait Vision 2035 asks established institutions to work differently

New Kuwait, the country's Vision 2035, sets out the goal of transforming Kuwait into a regional financial and commercial centre, with a stronger private sector and more effective public administration. For leaders, that turns into concrete pressure: new performance expectations, restructured departments and projects that cut across old boundaries.

Change of that kind lands hardest on middle and senior leaders, who must carry their teams through it while still delivering today's work. Coaching gives you room to decide where you stand on the change before you have to lead others through it, and change leadership coaching goes deeper on that.

From a government career to the private sector, or the other way

A large share of Kuwaiti nationals build their careers in the public sector, and Vision 2035 encourages more movement into private companies. Crossing that line is a real transition. The pace, the accountability for commercial results and the way authority works can all feel unfamiliar, even to an experienced leader.

The reverse move, from a private company into a ministry or authority, brings its own adjustment to process, protocol and timelines. In either direction, career transition coaching helps you take what still serves you and let go of what does not.

Influence in Kuwait is built in many rooms, not only the meeting room

In Kuwait, relationships carry a great deal of weight, and conversations that matter often continue outside formal meetings, including in the diwaniya. A leader who only performs well in the boardroom can miss where decisions are actually shaped.

We work on how you build trust and influence across those settings while staying true to your own style. The practical techniques are in how to influence senior stakeholders; coaching is where we look at what stops you using them.

Leading in oil, energy and long-tenure organisations

Kuwait's economy is anchored by its state-owned oil and petrochemical sector, and many of its largest employers are organisations where people stay for decades. That brings stability and deep expertise, along with strong hierarchy and a cautious approach to change.

Common questions in these settings are how to introduce new ways of working without losing respect, how to lead colleagues with longer service, and how to make decisions faster inside formal approval chains. Leadership coaching for energy sector leaders covers the sector in more detail.

Kuwaitisation and developing the next generation of Kuwaiti managers

Kuwait has policies that require private-sector employers to employ Kuwaiti nationals, overseen by the Public Authority for Manpower. Hiring is only the first step. Young Kuwaiti managers need support to lead confidently, and the experienced leaders around them need to develop that talent rather than work around it.

For organisations, a tailored team or group programme can do this at scale, online or in person by arrangement.

A practical rhythm for online coaching from Kuwait

  • Time zone. Kuwait and Bahrain share the same time, so there is no conversion to manage.
  • Working week. Sunday to Thursday in both countries, which keeps session planning straightforward.
  • Holidays. We plan around National Day on 25 February and Liberation Day on 26 February, as well as Eid.
  • Ramadan. With shorter working hours, we move sessions to a time that suits the fasting day, or pause briefly if that serves you better.
  • Rhythm. Sessions usually run weekly or every two weeks, on video, with a short practice task in between.

What I bring to leaders in Kuwait

I spent more than 26 years in leadership, HR and talent development, inside multinational organisations and in private practice, across financial services, FMCG, entrepreneurship and government. I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach with more than 4,500 coaching hours, trained in systemic coaching and NLP.

I coach in Arabic and English, I keep everything you share confidential, and I won't tell you what to decide. My job is to ask the questions that help you see your situation clearly.

Frequently asked questions

Can I meet you in person if I am based in Kuwait?

One-to-one coaching for Kuwait runs online. You are welcome to meet in person in Manama if you are visiting Bahrain, and in-person team sessions in Kuwait can be discussed by arrangement.

Can we mix Arabic and English in sessions?

Yes. Many leaders think in Arabic and work in English, or the reverse. We use whichever language helps you say exactly what you mean, and switch freely.

How long does a coaching engagement usually last?

It depends on what you want to change, and every engagement is personalised. We agree a starting length on the discovery call and review it as we go. How long executive coaching takes explains what shapes that decision.

I work in a ministry. Can my organisation fund coaching?

Some public bodies fund coaching through training or leadership development budgets. Ask your HR or training department what is possible. If they do fund it, we agree at the start what is shared with them and what stays between us.

The change around you starts with clarity inside you.
