Leadership Workshops
Leadership workshops are tailored, in-house sessions that give a group of your leaders shared language and practical tools on one topic, such as communication, trust, accountability or resilience. I design each workshop around your organisation’s goals, deliver it in person or virtually, in Arabic or English, and can add follow-up coaching so the learning turns into changed behaviour back at work.

HR and learning teams often describe the same frustration: the last workshop was rated highly and very little changed afterwards. A workshop introduces ideas. On its own, it rarely changes how someone behaves on an ordinary afternoon under pressure.
That is why I design leadership workshops as part of something larger, even when the larger part is a single follow-up session a month later.
Workshop topics organisations ask for most
These topics come directly from the coaching I do with individual leaders and teams. Each one is adapted to your context; none is delivered off the shelf.
- Executive presence and confidence: being heard in senior rooms and staying composed when challenged
- Communicating with influence: framing a message for different audiences and listening well
- Feedback and difficult conversations: preparing for and holding the conversations managers postpone
- Trust and healthy conflict: disagreeing openly without damaging relationships
- Accountability and ownership: clear commitments and follow-through without a blame culture
- Resilience and mental fitness: staying clear under pressure, drawing on Positive Intelligence® tools
- Decision-making under pressure: noticing the habits that cloud judgement
- Leading through change: helping people move from resistance to commitment
- Emotional intelligence and self-awareness: recognising your triggers and their effect on others
- Psychological safety: a subject large enough to have its own page on psychological safety workshops
Each workshop is built from your brief
Brief
I meet HR, learning and development or the business sponsor to understand the goal, the audience and what has already been tried.
Audience
We look at seniority, the mix of functions and nationalities, preferred language, and whether participants manage each other.
Design
Exercises use realistic scenarios from your sector and culture, so participants practise on situations they recognise.
Delivery
Interactive and discussion-led, in person or virtual, in Arabic, English or both.
Follow-through
We agree in advance how learning will be reinforced, from a review session to coaching.
Participants spend more time practising than listening
My leadership workshops use short inputs and long practice. Participants reflect on their own patterns, try new approaches in pairs and small groups, and use behavioural tools they can take straight back to their teams.
I ask more questions than I answer, even in a workshop. When managers work out an approach for themselves, they are more likely to use it. Everyone leaves with one specific commitment to try in the following weeks.
Those commitments matter more than the slides. When we review them in a follow-up session, participants hear what their peers tried, which is often more persuasive than anything I could present.
Follow-up is where a workshop becomes a change in behaviour
Workshops introduce concepts; coaching creates lasting behavioural change. The difference is explained in more depth in how coaching differs from training. Here are the follow-up options organisations combine most often.
| Follow-up option | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Review session with the same group | Participants report what they tried, what worked and what got in the way |
| Group coaching for a manager cohort | A series of coached sessions on real challenges; see group coaching for managers |
| One-to-one coaching for selected leaders | Individual depth for people in pivotal roles |
| Team coaching for an intact team | Changes how one team works together, beyond individual skills |
Designed for how Gulf organisations actually work
Workshops in the region often bring together multicultural and multigenerational groups, people working in their second or third language, and participants from very different levels of seniority. I design for that: bilingual delivery where it helps, exercises that do not depend on one cultural style, and formats that let junior participants contribute when senior colleagues are in the room.
Timing matters too. During Ramadan working hours, shorter sessions spread over more days usually work better than a single long day. Many organisations also use workshops within national talent programmes or a wider set of leadership development programmes.
Who designs and delivers your workshop
I spent more than 26 years in leadership, HR and talent development, in financial services, FMCG, entrepreneurship and government. I built talent strategies and developed leaders from inside organisations, so I understand the brief from the HR side as well as from the front of the room.
I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach with certifications in leadership development, systemic team coaching, mental fitness and NLP. That mix lets me take a workshop beyond information and into reflection and practice.
Frequently asked questions
Can a workshop fit inside our existing leadership programme?
Yes. I can design a module that matches your programme’s framework and language, so participants experience it as part of the same journey rather than a separate event.
Do you deliver leadership workshops in Arabic?
Yes. I deliver in Arabic, English or a mix of both, depending on the group. Materials can be prepared to suit the language of delivery.
Should senior leaders and junior managers attend the same workshop?
Sometimes it helps, especially on topics like trust or psychological safety where hearing each other matters. On topics where people need to speak about their managers, separate groups are usually more honest. We decide together during the brief.
How long is a workshop?
It depends on the topic and what you want participants to be able to do afterwards. We agree the length during design, and for deeper topics a series of shorter sessions often works better than one long day.
Can workshops be delivered online?
Yes. Virtual workshops work well for teams spread across the GCC, provided the design uses small breakout groups and plenty of interaction rather than long presentations.
Is a leadership workshop the same as a team-building day?
No. A team-building day focuses on connection and energy. A leadership workshop builds a specific capability. For how both compare with ongoing team work, see team coaching vs team building.
Can one workshop cover several topics?
It can, but depth usually beats breadth. Two closely linked topics, such as feedback and difficult conversations, work well together. If you have a longer list, a short series of focused sessions lets participants practise each skill before the next one is introduced.
